Terry has more than 25 years of experience as a portfolio manager and research analyst.

Prior to joining Capital Planning Advisors as Vice President of Investment Research and Portfolio Manager, Terry was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the Wealth Management division of Mechanics Bank since 1996. He managed investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, families, trusts, small company retirement plans and non-profit organizations. He also directed the investment team’s research and investment selection processes and managed Exchange Traded Fund Strategy Portfolios for bank clients.

Prior to joining Mechanics Bank, Terry was a research analyst at RCM Capital Management, an institutional money manager in San Francisco. He also held research and institutional sales positions at Japan Capital Markets and Sanyo Securities in Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Terry holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations and is a member of the CFA® Society San Francisco. He earned his Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Economics and Statistics from The University of Hong Kong, and his Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.

In his free time, Terry enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and volunteering at Tax-Aid, a non-profit organization that assists low-income taxpayers in preparing and filing tax returns every year.
